Responsibilities : Varied dependant on the individual

•    Manage your own fleet of vehicles and drivers throughout the UK or Europe “dependant on your own abilities and interest”
•    Manage the recruitment of your own team, drivers, owner drivers and subcontractors 
•    Manage the daily planning for all core fleet loads and back loads which will be required to ensure the profitability of your own fleet
•    Manage communication to clients, drivers and subcontractors
•    Manage in-house systems at your disposal – In order to accurately reflect your fleet’s performance in order for you to receive the recognition you deserve 

Skills, Qualifications & Experience  

•    Have experience in a transport / logistics role with responsibility for haulier co-ordination
•    Have the operational abilities in line with Health and Safety and KPI reporting 
•    Have the focus of a self-motivated, energetic, hands-on individual with the operational focus in order to deliver and exceed expectations 
•    Have the ability to work under pressure in order to identify and report on issues that may occur

RESPONSIBILITIES: VARIED – DEPENDANT ON THE INDIVIDUAL 

•    Manage the daily planning of your work including Picking Orders, Putting Away Stock

European Logistics Administrator – Skelmersdale

Due to continued expansion UKI Express Transport are looking to recruit bright and well educated young people to join their successful and ambitious team.
We would particularly like to hear from people with language skills to join our European department who specialize in movements in and out of the UK to all parts of Europe – At present they include Holland, France, Spain, Portugal, Italy, Germany, Austria and throughout Eastern Europe.


Summary of Role
To assist in the management of the company’s traffic planning and back load operations ensuring they are professional, accurate, compliant and cost effective at all times. Working alongside the existing operations staff you will be responsible for the coordination of back loads to assist in the company’s continued growth. Deliveries can range from local HGV to national same day courier services throughout the UK. You will liaise with clients, drivers and sub-contractors, so you must have experience of coordinating backloads and dealing with people at all levels. This is a challenging but rewarding role, with excellent opportunities for the right person.


Main duties 
Customer Liaison/ Customers Services: Preparation of quotes for customers, follow up calls, taking orders / bookings, answering queries from existing customers and potential new customers (trailer availability, transit time etc.)
Subcontracting: liaising with network of hauliers / trailer providers / contractors, sourcing trailers, negotiating rates and organising transport operations by road as per customer’s requirements
Monitoring transport movements - Ensuring the order goes smoothly from collection to delivery - Solving problems - Updating and reporting back to customers ensuring a faultless customer service.
Admin relating to each customer order - Ensuring costing’s and info are completed and filed - Entered on freight software system and ensuring all information is accurate before reaching the invoicing department
Liaising with the company’s Branch Manager regarding new leads and enquiries from new contacts.

Plant, Machinery and Hire Equipment Traffic Controller – Skelmersdale

Salary - TBA - Dependant on experience 


Due to continued expansion an exciting opportunity has arisen for a Logistics Administrator on our plant and machinery desk. The ideal applicant should be customer focused and a well organised individual MUST have construction heavy plant hire or machinery equipment rental experience. Hire desk experience would be an advantage for this challenging role.

To assist in the management of the company’s traffic planning of Plant Hire, Tool Hire Equipment operations ensuring they are professional, accurate, compliant and cost effective at all times. Working alongside the existing operations staff you will be responsible for the coordination of hire machinery movements throughout the United Kingdom and to assist in the company’s continued growth. Deliveries can range from local HGV to national same day courier services throughout the UK. You will liaise with clients, drivers and sub-contractors, so you must have experience in the construction or plant hire equipment rental business and dealing with people at all levels. This is a challenging but rewarding role, with excellent opportunities for the right person.
